What can we do to get religion out of American politics?
March 8th, 2010Religion and politics shouldn’t mix. Mixing religion with American politics doesn’t make Americans more religious, and it certainly doesn’t make politicians more moral. All it does is dumb down our political discourse and provide a safe haven for hypocrites.

Just how conservative is the Conservative Party of Canada compared to the Republican Party?
March 8th, 2010Hopefully someone who has lived in or is familiar with both countries could comment on this. I’m a liberal democrat considering going to school in Canada, but I know the Conservative Party is currently controlling Canada. What is their stance on the issues and when is the next federal election?

Chris Matthews asks Chuck Todd about Obama’s “liberal” approach to fighting terrorism. Toward the end of the clip Todd slips up and refers to Obama’s conservative critics as “we”.
Should the American government bring home our troops from the 600 military bases around the world?
March 6th, 2010and focus on securing the border with Mexico? Should American troops take out all of the drug cartels, and end corruption in Mexican government? After that, wouldn’t the 20 million illegal aliens be able to return home to a safer country that has been restored to real freedom?
America is involved in two wars in small third world countries on the other side of the planet. Our government says it is to free the people of Iraq and Afghanistan. Should the U.S. government attempt to free the people of Mexico from drug cartel violence, and government corruption?
Please give serious answers for why we should or should not?

What are the best universities for political science?
March 6th, 2010I don’t have high enough SATs to get into an Ivy League school, but I’d love to get into a good political science program (preferably on the East Coast, but others are fine as well) that would help start either a career as a political analyst or an elected official.
Any suggestions?
